Your comfort-focused home away from home

The duplex consists of two identical units, and is designed with your comfort and recovery in mind. One unit has a little larger back yard but other than that they are identical (mirrored). We decorated one unit with art and pictures from Norway and the other one with art from Arkansas, with focus on getting nature into our homes for inspiration and serenity. The units are newly renovated and have all new interior.

Living spaces and accessibility

Each unit features:

  • 3 Bedrooms and 2 Full Bathrooms.

  • A large, open-plan living and kitchen area.

  • Convenient Location: Only a 10-minute drive to The Spero Clinic, ensuring an easy start to your treatment day.

  • A big garage to park your car with a quality washer and dryer. 

  • A fenced backyard with patio chairs to enjoy the outside with your loved ones. 

Thoughtful bathroom design

We know that accessibility is paramount during treatment, which is why we focused on the details:

  • Primary Bathroom: Newly renovated in each unit and adapted for maximum practicality. It features a spacious walk-in shower with grab bars and quality fixtures, designed to be more accessible for individuals using a wheelchair or needing support.

  • Second Bathroom: Includes a bathtub/shower, which can be a wonderful addition for warm (or cold) therapeutic baths after a long week of treatments. The bathroom is directly connected to the 2 main bedrooms.

  • Both bathrooms have installed a handheld showerhead in addition to the wall hanged, to ensure more flexible use. 

Furry friends welcome

  • We know your pets are family, and we believe their presence is part of the recovery process. 
  • A stress-free sanctuary: Don´`t worry about pet-sitters while you are here for treatment; focus on your health while your best friend rests right by your side. 
  • Warm welcome for wet noses: We dont just "allow" pets - we celebrate them! we provide a large dog bed and complimentary food and water bowls are set up upon arrival. 

Relaxation & rest (bedrooms)

Sleep is crucial for healing, so we have focused on providing high-quality memory foam mattresses and a cozy atmosphere:

  • Master Bedrooms: Equipped with King-size beds and medium/soft memory foam mattresses + a wall mounted 55 inch TV.

  • Queen Bedrooms: Feature high-quality Queen-size beds with a medium/firm memory foam mattress option.

  • Zen-den bedroom is a functional and adaptive room with a sofa bed and wall mounted 44 inch TV to function as a bedroom, a TV/gaming room(PS4), office or a place to do your meditation/work out. 

  • Storage & Ambiance: All bedrooms offer ample storage space for clothes and are decorated in warm, soothing colors to promote a cozy and restful environment.

The kitchen & dining

The kitchen is fully equipped to allow you to easily prepare healthy, homemade meals:

  • Appliances: Oven, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, microwave, blender, stick mixer, coffemachine, electric kettle and with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, knives, etc. The kitchen offers everything you need to feel like you are at home in your own kitchen! (and if you are missing something, just let us know!)

  • Big island: A large practical "island" will provide a spacious surface for cooking and preparing food. Ample storage under the counter. 

  • Dining Area: A large dining table with seating for six people with comfortable chairs. 

  • Living Room: Features a spacious sofa, TV, and a fireplace to create a relaxing atmosphere. 

Custom lighting & ambiance

Understanding the sensitivity to light that many patients experience, we have replaced standard fixtures with comfort in mind:

  • Almost all light fixtures in the house are dimmable and utilize warmer light temperatures, moving away from the harsh white light often found in rentals. In the kitchen and living room the lights are controlled by remote controls, so you dont need to move. They allow you to dim the light, and change the light temperature between warm/white color. There are also a couple of stand alone lamps with warmer light bulbs around the house. 

The "Zen-den"

The third bedroom is designed to be a retreat:

  • Setup: Equipped with a sleeper sofa and themed as a "Zen Den." This is a quiet space where you can withdraw and relax after a long day at the clinic.

  • Family Option: For those traveling with children, this room can also serve as an extra living area and is equipped with a TV, PS4 and games.

  • Want to start your morning with a meditating yoga session or wind down relaxing after a long day of clinic? This is the perfect place! The room has pilates equipment and a PS4! 

Added conveniences

We want you to have zero added worries while staying with us:

  • Laundry: We have installed top-class washing machines and dryers, knowing how frustrating noisy or ineffective laundry machines can be in rentals.

  • Fitness: Simple workout equipment is provided, including a yoga mat and pilates equipement, which can be used as needed.

  • Transportation (not standard): If we are not currently in the U.S., it would also be possible to rent our car during your stay. This will off course be confirmed before your lease begins.

  • Golf set: Have a dad or uncle with you wanting to play golf, or maybe one of your treatment goals include some golfing? We have a golf set at your disposal! The Links golf course is within walking distance from the house.

  • Need a wheelchair or walker while living with us? We have 2 wheelchairs, a walker and a practical table on wheels for use by the bed!
